Opening Up A Small Space

Here we share some photos of what we’ve been up to lately. This project near Brighton station involved opening up a small space, lowering an intimidating wall into the garden and levelling off an area for a patio, for dining & entertaining, morning yoga & mediation.

This one was a logistics challenge, as storage and access was minimal, and everything had to carried by hand through a narrow hallway, with a kink & a fragile handrail!

A significant clearance took place, followed by retaining walls & new steps, with subtle pastel coloured sandstone pavers.

Unloved and unused, with intimidating walls and wonky steps into a small area surrounded by huge & unsightly brick beds… No where to store a lawnmower and a desire for all year round use…
