What We’ve Been Up To – Build 200 – Design for Children to Play!

Here we share some photos of what we’ve been up to lately, including planting out new beds, gardening, landscaping, and constructing gardens from our garden designs. What we’re up to – Build 200 involved transforming the upper area of a large Brighton garden into low maintenance, manageable, and wildlife friendly area, with intrigue & interest for the children!

The plants offer a host of sensory features to tempt the children to immerse themselves & explore the garden. Within the beds are plants with children’s names is a plant called for them to find & watch throughout the seasons.

There are stepping-stones, created to entice the children further into the garden. There is a secret area with a message board, complete with alphabet pebbles with which to leave secret messages for each other and to create garden sculptures. Also located here is a ladybird-pebble hide and go-seek game for all the family. There is also a truck construction site built into a bed, featuring rocks, sand, and work site, promoting for imaginary, immersive play for the children. Finally, there’s a climbing frame with soft matting underneath.

Garden Design examples are available on request and are not shown here.
